Never would it be used indiscriminately. But just think what if someone was about to use an Atomic device and it came out in the confessional??? Very useful for the salvation of a lot of people. I knew Thomas Merton..He was also a friend of Georgia O'Keefe. He was a very special Priest..They had to build him a House called the Hermitage..He had a hell of a time trying to get along with his superiors..He is the solitary Priest who is given credit for pulling the Catholic faith toward the Eastern Rites.. He visited the Dali Llama and kept a running corrospondence with him..He was on his way to visit him when he stopped in Bankok and supposedly pulled a fan into the bathtub. I still believe he was assassinated..He had a lot of enemies. Lisa
