Robert,

Unless there is the possibility of evil, how could you appreciate safety? You can take the most beautiful color in the world, but if everything is monochromatic, it isn't beautiful, it all sameness. It is hard to appreciate beauty without the corresponding lack of it.

As far as the concept of "evil souls in heaven", so what? It is my personal belief that all souls eventually reunite with God. If God is the embodiment of unconditional love(which I believe) why is it impossible for God to rehabilitate the most misguided of souls? Is it too big of a job for God? Is God to be more concerned with eternal retribution or rehabilitation through love? Which is the more "Godly" act?

Mark

It's not that we need evil to be free. It's that freedom (for ourselves and the rest of the universe) makes possible evil. And if evil were not allowed, the universe would not be free.

All JMO. Don't know if this matches the creed of any denomination or religion.
