It may be that Samsung doesn't make chips until it knows it's going to sell them. There may be delays and more problems. There just isn't any alternative to making Rambus work (except short term and stop gap measures). The board manufacturers have progressed much slower than other areas in the computer field. They just don't build with the precision that the rest of the components are demanding. This will change because they are becoming the weak link. This will solve the timing/reflection problems with Rambus and until then there will be workarounds. Nothing else is available in the next couple of years.

As an effective investor you'd be better off payng attention to what company officials say than what EE or folks of similar nature. I'll bet you rely on Barrons, too.
