Who the F*ck cares if they get to choose? Is there a LAW about it? Some sort of national order? Perhaps an 11th commandment? You want to f*ck with every country where the "people" (and WHO are they- WHO chooses in this country? follow the money tooth fairy baby) don't make the choices?

Boy- you seem to think I think the "people" get to choose. I don't care who "chooses" the government style inside a country. It is up to citizens of each country to sort themselves out. I don't believe in the tooth fairy and I don't believe in meddling. And the only person who needs to grow up is you- it might also help if you get an education.

Nicaraguan support for the Sandinistas was widespread and strong. If it wasn't they would not have attained power. It is certainly fair enough to say that the Nicaraguans chose the Sandinistas over Somoza. The Contras never generated the kind off mass support that the Sandinistas did while they were fighting Somoza. And very few Nicaraguans, even those who opposed the Sandinistas, believed that the US had any right to choose a government for Nicaragua. Prolonged US support for Somoza completely destroyed any credibility we might have had as a political arbiter in the region.

Most of the contras were only in it for the drug-export licenses anyway.
