Haim, you raise an interesting point...

Isn't it true though that many large corporations have in effect "put to sleep" development of their business model technologies until after the Y2K event; including the purchasing of new equipment.

Furthermore, it's my very limited understanding that there are qualified labor shortages in many high tech development positions that are going unfilled due to inundation of Y2K prep positions. Wouldn't a "shifting" of the labor force in your scenario render the problem moot?

Y2K is a huge issue on every level that everyone is aware about. I think it is conceivable that the technology boom that we've been witnessing may just be a precursor of things to come if there are literally tens of millions of concerned individuals waiting on the sidelines for the Event to pass before taking place in the next revolution of our age... one that very well eclipse the industrial revolution in it's scope and influence on our lives.

Thoughts from a layman...

Best Regards,

John
