Not to mention The Small Faces, Kinks, Van Morrison, and The Amazing Rhythm Aces. And for some of us that keep up with what is really going down,

How about BBM and a cd called Around The Next Dream,....... That is Gary Moore, Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker.
And for a sound to move us from the past and into the future try going with a cd by Robert Plant and Jimmy Page called Fate of Nations, anybody into music that does not get this cd will die deprived.

P.S. I forgot to mention LOVE.......... Forever changes album.

qdog,

<< Jimmie was a solo guitarist >>

So was Jerry Garcia, of course, although we tend to think of him as a member of the Grateful Dead and a host of other bands.

I was on a beta testers newsgroup the night he died when a message came across:

"Jerry Garcia just died in his sleep"

A response came back almost instantly:

"BUMMER!"

Don't forget Terry Kath, late of Chicago. Hendrix supposedly admitted "he's better than me". Of course, these stories grow with time.
