>>He needs to be seen as a smart guy who can make more than one call -- or he will be relegated to being a one-call-wonder with a career as a superstar that spanned less than a year. << Gst, well put. Blodget is now back peddling. One good call is all he's ever done, and now he can sit back and say "I gave caution". Hey! He's no different to Dlj's pimp Kiggen! He's a one hit pimp also. Have you seen his track record lately? Did I see William post that RS's Pimp Keith Benjamin was going out, or was that just another Benjamin? Ps Here's the latest Kiggen report on Eeln. Please note he say's the rise in Interest rates are causing concern, but he's hyping the 35% increase in loan applications. Guess who gave him those loan app #'s? Eeln!! This is the same owners that said "If I had to work that hard again for a month to become multi-millionaires, we wouldn't have done it". Now can you see why Eeln has crashed? >>E-LOAN (EELN: $21 7/16)*+ 09/30/99 E-Loan Pre-Announces Q3 Results Earnings Per Share Old New P/E Ratios (FY:Dec.) 2000E $(0.99) $ NM 1999E (1.04) NM 1998A (0.37) NM Rating: BUY Change: None 12-Mo. Target: $70 E-Loan released preliminary September quarter results today, announcing that they will post a per share loss of $0.34-$0.35, on revenue of $4.7-$5.0 million, versus our consensus-matching loss per share of $0.28 on revenue of $5.2 million. The company is planning to report their full Q3'99 results on October 28. The third quarter operating environment was a challenging one, as interest rates increased 58 bps on top of a 70 bp rise in Q2. The rise in interest rates impacted E-Loan's rate-sensitive refinance volume, which declined 38% sequentially. On the positive side, E-Loan saw a 35% sequential increase in mortgage applications, while industry-wide applications declined 24% quarter-over-quarter. We are maintaining our Buy rating. E-Loan's model becomes more attractive from a predictability standpoint going forward as the company continues to expand into less interest-rate sensitive product categories. (12:00 PM EST)<<
