Your discussion does not seem to differentiate between prices and gold rising, and the world perception of the value of the US dollar falling. I may never understand the complexities of these inter-relationships, but I do like to try. Seems to me that rates and prices wanting to rise have more to do with the reducing value of the Dollar, than inflation.
