Chuck - RE: "<That would be impressive if "E" could beat the Athlon in fp95.>

I have been so confident that couldn't happen, I haven't asked my Intel buddies for CuMine numbers. The hint dropping from the inside-Intel team makes me think I should have. But, I guess we have only a couple of days before we get some good info on a lot of things."

I forgot to say UNLESS it is optimized for SSE. AMD can probably do the same thing w/3D Now! and the lead will be re-gained. But does AMD even have their OWN SPEC compiler???

And with CamiNo-Go still uncertain, Intel has to rely on the i810E - the chipset running with an anchor tied behind its back.

RE <<<But, I guess we have only a couple of days before we get some good info on a lot of things.

From AMD:

- Athlon Pro/Ultra with 266MHz (+?) bus, larger caches
- 64-bit x86 from AMD>>>

And the little matter of Q3 earnings?!!!
