OT--just one opinion here: Unless you are daytrading and very good at it,, buy and hold (and buy more on dips) of key stocks along with options trading to lower cost basis (varied options strategies depending on momentum), seems to be a long-term strategy that gives far higher returns than short-term buying and selling. The market--how can anybody time it short term? (i.e. this month or in a few months)

And you don't have to agonize as much. You just set your position when you're ready. All stocks retrench and take breathers. EMC for instead was treading water for awhile and is now on the uptick. I don't see the point of selling during those times since all stocks go through it.
