Daniel,

I am not the one...setting policy. But once the policy was set....and it became apparent you were not fitting it....

underage..etc. it would have been more graceful for you to bow out.

the point I am making is....it is rather absurd to sit here and read your posts that Anthony should not be reconsidered...when you SHOULD NOT even still be a member.

Get it? Do you understand? Is there something about...must be 18 or over...that is unclear to you?

I have not jumped on this bully pulpit before..because...I did not see any personal harm...in allowing you your audience...but now...for a kid..to be "sticking it in SI's face"...about a critical important member...

sorry...can't just sit idly by........

so just shut up.....or I'll carry this further.

Mary

Daniel,

You asked, "Why should kids not be allowed to post here?"

The answer is very simple. Because as a minor, you (and others) enjoy a legal status that adults cannot claim. In many areas of civil law, you cannot be held responsible for your actions or your posts. In other words, many lawsuits that could be brought against a responsible adult, cannot (by law) be brought against you. Additionally, your presence (and the presence of other minors) exposes SI to legal claims against SI that might not be able to filed against you. As we obtain the age of majority, with that milestone comes personal responsibility for what we say, what we do, and how we contract business for ourselves. Other than the legal issues, I have no particular opinion one way or the other regarding your presence here.

For the most part, kids are not ready for adult conversation or critical analysis of stocks.....

That being said, you may be far ahead of your peers...doogie howser maybe...but one thing you have to be very careful of, is what you do and say.....

If a legal challenge were to come out of something you posted, I.E a libel suit...you would be protected as a minor, however your guardians would be held responsible....

So..when you make stock predictions and the like, you walk a thin line towards putting your parents in jeopardy...

As for the postings you do....

If you were older I might say you were a hypster....but since you are 15/16 I have given you the benefit of the doubt that it falls under simple youthful exuberence...

However....at 18...you're open season....

As for Tony....

Very difficult for me to say either way..since I don't know exactly what the circumstances of the booting was...

I've been suspended before...

I deserved it...took my lumps...

(Course I used my secret telepathic powers to cause SI_BOB to dig up his phone cables with a back hoe..ha ha ha)

I can think of many deserving people that need to get the boot...

But...as of yet, they still have not hired me as SI mascot..so I am still a free agent...so It's not really up to me....

It would be nice if someone would post a link to what exactly the crime was.....(Even if it just so that others may avoid th mistake)
