Consider me a yes vote for bringing anthony back .... while his tone may not always be "user friendly", i find the quality of his information exceptional .... when not caught up in "flame wars", he remains the most lucid "hype debunker" of anyone ive come across on the internet... i trust most of SI will agree.

You are supposed to be an adult to open an account. That is a rule. Learn to read. I included the law and the rules. The more SI allows you to post the more faith I loose in them. I fail to understand it at this point. I know many agree. I have to suck it up as the rules don't seem to apply to you. Have they changed? If you account was opened by a grown-up or whatever reason their is an exception, I don't believe it right.

Why not tell me what the exception is for your posting. I would appreciate that much.

Daniel...

do you understand contracts? Do you understand what it means when you click I agree...or when you sign up for something that has "published terms of service:?

Sit down with your parents and have them carefully explain the terms of service. you certify by being a member that you are 18 years of age. You have been made aware of this... many times...

The TOS can change...and it behooves you to remain aware of the changes...(ignorance is not a defense under law).

You filled out an index card....Well, Daniel...read this clause:
Should you object to any terms and conditions of these Terms of Use or any subsequent changes to the terms and conditions or become dissatisfied with the Service in any way, your only recourse is to immediately: (1) discontinue use of the Service; (2) terminate Service membership; and (3) notify Go2Net of termination by sending an e-mail to: memberadmin@siliconinvestor.com. Continued use of the Service is an acceptance of the Terms of Use and all or any subsequent changes.

You....became ineligible...once they made the conditions clear that age 18 was a condition. You did not write on the index card your age...so it was assumed you were 18.
When it became clear you were not 18. and there was an age requirement..you should have volunteered ...because...."continued use of the service is an acceptance of all terms..." etc.

Now...is there anything...about this...that is unclear..

So...point is...stop throwing stones...and let SI run their own business.... If they made an exception for you ..then be happy with that...that exception is made...assuming the "community" has no objection....if...by chance ...the community was made aware...and objected...to this...they might change their mind...or....change the policy...

Why are you ...challenging...their right to bring Anthony's case to the community? They are doing what they think is right...and I think they should be commended for "listening" to the community....
