With all due respect, it is clear you do not get the point. It apparently was too subtle for you. Therefore, you misinterpreted. Let me spell it out for you. The gentleman demanded that I leave because he is long VLNC and I challenge statements that support a long position. (his only posts at SI are on the VLNC thread) My statements are unpalatable from his viewpoint, maybe even upsetting. In other words, because I do not represent the "mainstream" position on this board, he demanded I leave the board. It was a statement opposing diversity of opinion. To suggest how ridiculous his statement was, to allow him to see by analogy the unreasonableness of what he wanted, I turned the "demand" around on him, using his name as the "diversity-opposing" target. The point: it is ridiculous to ask someone to change their name because it is different or unique just as it is outrageous to demand someone leave a forum because their position does not support the "mainstream." I hope this long-winded explanation helps you understand. I have been all over the world, living and working. My grandparents were immigrants. I would fight to the death for diversity if that is what it took. And that includes the rights that provide djoobajieh the privilege to claim whatever moniker he chooses. Capisce?
