It is of no immediate help for you right now but here is what I do when faced with nearly the exact type of EXCELL dilemma ....

1) work and work and work
2) cuss a little and work some more
3) talk to myself saying that I KNOW HOW TO DO THIS
4) work some more
5) call Marilyn for assistance
6) call Scooter for assistance

that covers all I can do for you until later tonight, sorry ...

Marilyn is out of town, and Scoot is on vacation .....
