Design and process guys:

The benchmarks from Japan on JC's page show huge spec improvements. I just asked Haim his opinion on the possibility of similar SW working magic for Athlon, now I would like to ask whether the kinds of cache optimizations that Intel made for CUmine are feasible within the next 6 months for Athlon. By feasible I mean able to be brought to market.
TIA,
Vince

To be honest, I wouldn't be able to tell without taking a good look at the compiled code that is produced for the current SPEC scores. This is I haven't done for the Athelon.

Let me put it another way... most benchmarks (certainly including SPEC) reflect both CPU and compiler used. Don't be fooled into thinking that it's ONLY a sign of CPU strength.
