Andre, Interesting...I have DSL here in the bay area. I got my install from Rythms and Pac Bell supports 30,000 feet from the CO! As for checking to see if you qualify.. USWest has been doing this for about a year now using an NT4.0 server infrastructure and Cisco DSLAM's. As part of this deal you can purchase a turn key ready to go PC from DELL which uses DSL PCI cards manufactured by INTC using CSCO CAP technology. All pretty cool....but....well....there are still truck rolls I think. As for cable. At $68/mo. it's a little pricy but don't you get better than 640K? I think the cable industry is a little ahead when it comes to integrated communications...but it's definitely an arms race. I love it! OG
