I believe the "Personal Connectivity" business demonstrated unusually high margins because EB stopped investing and stopped marketing the products. Margins are up because they stopped running the business...again - only cost cutting.

As for DSL modems...and COMS being the only game in town. I think Intel is in that market too and many PC's will come DSL or cable ready (DELL is already doing this). That all being said COMS may still have the first shelf space in the retail store...um.....didn't Microcom have the first modem space on the shelf??? where are they today??? The fact is that CPE is a low margin business. You can argue this any way you want... PC's, modems, nics, hubs....CPE is low margin because there is little differentiation and lots of competition. THe only way to compete is on price.
