E, my dear, my very dearest E, can we simply agree to disagree? I know whereof you speak. I also know the man was 70 when he was elected, and 78 when he left office. And not long after, he did come down with Alzheimer's, which is a slow-developing disease. He was, I recall, our oldest president. And I think he, and his handlers, did a damn fine job. You don't agree. Can we leave it at that?

his handlers went out of their way to hide from him copies of a loony right publication called Human Events

I've been a subscriber to the above mentioned for a few years. Very conservative to be sure, but not loony right. I used to get stuff that could be described that way. (I caught a case of Weaver fever, but I'm better now.) I assure you, Human Events doesn't fall into that category.
