RE <<<Indulge me - AMD is SELLING their entire COMMUNICATIONS division - are they not ?>>>

I can't give you Sanders exact wording but during the question and answer section D. Peck asked the same question. Sanders said that the telecom and networking embedded chips would definitely stay with AMD and I believe will be used in their chipsets/southbridge? application. If I have erred in their usage, its not because of what he said but my misunderstanding due to my non tech background.

I plan to listen to the CC again this afternoon and will get his exact wording. It sounded from the CC, the decision to sell the Communications Group was a relatively recent one and that the details were still to be determined.

Just how long can it be before the Flash division has to be sold to feed Jerry's habit?
