<are you new to the area?> Jersey? No, I am born and raised here. I meant cold as a relative term......it's been rather balmy here the last few Winters....No snow, to speak of, for example. I spent a few winters on Long Island in the late 70's. They were pretty rough. But in the last three years we might have had less than 20 inches of snow combined here. It's almost ridiculous. Three or four Winters ago we had drifts in the back yard higher than my garage, easily two stories high. Then nothing. I might as well have been loading up on Coppertone instead of Rock Salt.
