TT, Conditional colors in Excel are easy:
1. Highlight the cell or cells to apply a condition to.
2. Pull down the Format menu.
3. Click Conditional Formatting.
4. Select Cell value is or Formula is.
5. Select a condition, e.g. greater than.
6. Enter 1 or 2 formulas depending on which condition was chosen.
7. Click Format button and specify cell format.
8. Preview format in preview window.
9. Click Add to add additional conditions as needed. If more than one condition is met then the format of Condition 1 will be applied to the cell range.
10. Click Ok.

I haven't figured out the Alarm yet. I think you'll have to highlight the cell and pull down Insert/Object/Wave Sound (or other). Then right click the object and select Assign Macro. Good luck.
