Aus & Thread:

IMHO it was only a matter of time before SNDK took matters into its own hands and began the manufacturing process. The fact that the patents are in the vaults and with the recent acquisition of more patents, with a company that could diversify CF/MMC or (the next generation),why not protect the intellectual inventory?

However, what possible advantage could come from hooking up with Toshiba? True,a multi-billion dollar company can assure the building of a foundry, but, where's the fine print? Sandisk: a division of Toshiba America?

Just prior to earnings, why? To stabilize the investment community? Prior to a possible split, why?

Just food for thought.Mr H. is a very competent CEO and has done well with his "advisory cabinet",and the moves have been well calculated. Anyone care to speculate on this strategy?

Ron
