Nandu:

When OTHERS join the NDA, that will give a clear majority, and a message to pakistan and the world that Indian legislators are very much behind Vajpayee and his policies. It is my understanding that in NDA coalition, most of the members are secular except Shiv Sena.
The Congress has to cut out the deadwood and inject some young blood into this anemic and weak outfit.

Is the TDP a constituent of the NDA? No. So, how can the NDA tally be 293? Also where did you pull that 305 number from? And why? Just to buttress your argument that the TDP by itself cannot pull down the government?

However, I do agree with you that the TDP's initial strategy would be to drive a hard bargain with the BJP. However, when the house seems like it will crumble and fall down, the TDP needs to distance itself from the BJP. And that is best done by a "support from outside" strategy. That is probably the best course for the TDP to take.

Nandu, did you look at Orchid Chemicals & Pharma,I think I told you something about it a few days ago.It was trading for Rs 174 on that day,I picked up a few shares at the time, now it is at +Rs 300.00.

I might have told you Orchid was a 100% EOU like Himatsingka Seide but actually they are not (my mistake) though they did 30% international business in 1998,this year it could be much higher.
