Rande, re:HIFN I bought some Oct. puts (HXQVT) on it a month back, around 3 bucks. Today I can sell them for 57 bucks. The funny part was I was just looking to make a buck or 2. At 145 it was an obvious short, I just never expected a dump like this. My guess is we may see a lot of this in the near future. Go figure. (HIFN was a spinoff from Stac Software a while back)

Yes, HIFN - interesting model for our times... What slimy, sleazy, pack of thieves brokerage houses are becoming (or have been and will continue to be). Can you believe that he has reversed his comments twice. First negative comments, then after seeing HIFN take such a tumble, come out and say positive things, then this morning downgrade them - idiots... And the company PR machine was in action too... They had trouble telling the whole truth about things... You know, even if it were to go up a few points from here, I'd have to go wash myself off after making any play on them - can't stand this gross manipulation. And it seems more rampant than ever these days. Like a house of cards - it infects our whole system - from the fed govnmt, all the way down -DON'T GET ME STARTED... Whew! glad to get that off my chest. "Do you even remember when you first sold out?" Wild stab - Wall Street? KT
