Call Quality>
To date, all of the posts that I have seen from people who have used the G* system have been impressed with the quality of the reception. "Landline quality" has been stated a lot. Do you think that the "Satellite only" mode might become a preferred mode for important calls? I think people would be willing to pay a premium price for premium service. Ideally, a businessman who is on the phone a lot while he is in his car might find that a car kit and "SAT only" mode would eliminate some of the variable reception and dropped calls commonly found with terrestrial cellular service. So we might reasonably add another market that was untested by Iridium.....I use it because I want to not because I have to. Just a thought.

Valueman -

These phones were forced to the "sat only" mode

Thats the test I wanted to hear. If it was as good as it sounds then G* is a big big winner.

Best regards,
