That's a constant reminder of how important it is to have a management team that communicates regularly with analysts

That's a really important insight, Steve. Look at DELL, they are masters of the spin. INTC's in that league and MSFT usually too. You have professional managers running the show, not entrepreneurs for whom the biz has outstripped their managerial competence. The selective disclosure, however, is a different issue from competence and should be reviewed ( a la the WebVan stinky pooh-pooh)

HIFN - I recognized the risk when I went in - although I didn't anticipate the halt which really did me in. I made a similar trade on DY in August with substantially better outcomes.

Shame on the anal-yst for saying:

"I was right but not right enough,"

Doesn't he know a double right's makes it 100% wrong?

But then, this is the trait of the trade.

As to strong management, I would put CNXT and RFMD in the strong camps. These two companies also communicate frequently with the public and analysts through tech conferences. One needs to listen to the conference call to get a sense of this. As I'm sure all of us are going to listen to the upcoming Q conference calls by the semi's, why don't we make it a point to report on the character of the management team on this board? I will do my part.

Has anyone used Net2phone? I downloaded the software and it was a POS. It never gets to the screen where I can register (as instructed in their webpage) and no resolution could be found elsewhere on their website. I called the tech service and he pointed me to something completely rubbish. I'm very disappointed. But their international rates are still very tempting....
