Hi Dave, A significant and most successful part of my PT for three years was using "home traction" for my neck. I really didn't like the velcro harness thingie that I got from the PT folks but had good success with their own contraption at their office.

So, I took some paper and traced the angle of the device's "pull" and some of the more important aspects of how it was constructed and made my own neck traction gizmo out of some wood, carpet pad and a bit of time with a wood rasp. It worked great. I fit it to my own neck's dimensions and made it as comfortable as I could for a solid 20 Lb tug. The velcro thingie was very uncomfortable on my chin and jaw but the one I "copied" worked great and grabbed at the base of the back of my neck. I could trace it and send you the general shape and size if you think it might help. I got three years of comfort from it before I finally had other problems that brought on surgery.

Best regards, Tom
