What consitutes a match....exact number of shares? Bid/ask the same? 1/16th apart? 1/8? etc. And where does the spread go?

Keith,

Assuming you are a buyer, I think what happens is that you get an ISLD fill on a market order (placed with Datek) if the ISLD best ask is equal to the best ask as reported on Level 2 (i.e., by those making a market in the stock and/or by any other ECNs with orders on the books). This assumes that sufficient shares are available at the best ask on the ISLD book to meet your market order.
