What happens is that the email messages stay on the mail server (wherever that server is...your ISP, Yahoo's mail server...wherever) and is available to download again to any machine that you want. Just configure Outlook Express on your laptop with the same mail account settings as your main computer. You will receive the same mail messages on both systems. Make sure that on the laptop you also set the advance properties tab to also leave messages on the server for X days (I use 5 days) or as soon as it receives a message it will be deleted off of the mail server and then you won't get it on your main PC. Does this make sense? If not tell me and I'll explain it another way.

Wily's method of importing the mail file from your main PC should also work if you have shared the drive on the remote computer and mapped it on the laptop so it has a drive letter. The only downside to this is that I believe you have to import the entire file, you can't just select which messages to import. This could be a pain to do often if you have lots of messages. And if you are only on your laptop and Outlook express is not even running on the main PC, then the messages wouldn't even be there yet.

For my money, the "leave messages on server" is the most elegant solution. I do this with almost all of my mail accounts (which now number well over a dozen with all the various domains, companies, administrators etc.) I also make elaborate use of Outlook rules to route mail to specific folders. I think rules are only available in the full Outlook 98 or 2000 version. Very nice package.

Let me know if I can help any more.....
Good Luck
Dan
