Normally I would agree with you - but the debate here isn't so much about the merits of these individual companies but about the market reaction (based on reality or perception - who knows?) to hedgers or non-hedgers. There is a little spamming of the odd more junior company I agree. d

People aren't 'giving or seeking recomendations' - they're just talking about an important part of the gold business. If you're going to talk about hedging you don't have any choice but mention Barrick. People post so much completely irrelevant junk on this thread (eg. US politics ad nauseum) and nobody says a word.

I wouldn't put it as strong as ole'49er, but I agree with her (sort of) and with Double D. As long as the discussion includes comments that impact on the POG, I need whatever education they give me.
