GET A LIFE, TESTICLE COVER!!! If you think for one single split nano-second that ANY discussion of ABX and NEM might or might not go under doesn't impact the POG, you are dumber than I thought!

You show up here some FORTY TWO THOUSAND POSTS after Tom Becker writes his little GPM thread invite to share your pearls and family jewels opinions" and YOU think YOU have the right to tell other threaders what we can talk about??? I surrender the "balsy" title/beltbuckle to you :)

POG: AD ASTRA per ASPRA

Ole taking a break from the big trommel run weekend to keep my finger on the gold pulse 49r

We pulled alot of gold yesterday from the run and EVERYONE AT THE EVENT didn't even know that GOLD had rallied 65 bucks yet!!! Incredible!

Normally I would agree with you - but the debate here isn't so much about the merits of these individual companies but about the market reaction (based on reality or perception - who knows?) to hedgers or non-hedgers. There is a little spamming of the odd more junior company I agree. d

>>PLEASE DO NOT GIVE OR SEEK RECOMMENDATIONS OR ADVICE ON INDIVIDUAL STOCKS.<<

Talking about company hedge books or their profitability - individually and collectively - is very relevant to the POG. People aren't 'giving or seeking recomendations' - they're just talking about an important part of the gold business.

If you're going to talk about hedging you don't have any choice but mention Barrick.

People post so much completely irrelevant junk on this thread (eg. US politics ad nauseum) and nobody says a word.

I wouldn't put it as strong as ole'49er, but I agree with her (sort of) and with Double D.

As long as the discussion includes comments that impact on the POG, I need whatever education they give me.

CAN WE ALL STOP TALKING ABOUT INDIVIDUAL COMPANIES AND STAY WITHIN THE SPIRIT OF THIS THREAD?

You're a fine one to make that comment. After all you be floggin' Health Care {HMO's} lawsuit info for the last week.

<<If ABX or NEM go belly up or double in 1 year it will do very little to change the POG >>

I disagree. Since Abner started the thread in 1997 much has changed in the POG discussion.
