I haven't seen a good explanation on how either G-Lite or ADSL will be passed thru a digital loop carrier system without a forklift upgrade. OK, so it may work within short distances of the central office in those situations where loop carriers are not needed. But, IMO it is not a viable solution since it can only reach a subset of Americas population namely urban populations. Cable modems don't suffer from this widespread, expensive problem. ADSL will be poor competition with cable modems for some time until a solution is found and implemented.

Does anyone else see this RBOC dilema?
