I haven't seen a good explanation on how either G-Lite or ADSL will be passed thru a digital loop carrier system without a forklift upgrade

I'd forgotten about that one. Do you have any sense of how common an issue this is?

You do understand that cable is not available to all homes right now. I don't have the percentage, but just a year ago it was under 15 percent. Most of the cable in the ground will not support an ATHM type service. It is one way, into the home only. That cable must be replaced to support two way internet connectivity. That is expensive. But it is being done. Same kinds of problems exist for DSL. I will bet that someone figures out a way to extend the range of DSL. Probably through an amplification device that can be instaled 2 imles from the CO.

The tech on both sides will not stand still. Limitations are not written in concrete and they will change.

I remember when they said a telephone line will never carry a signal faster than 9600. Yeah right!

Change is gonna do you good.
