I don't regard "freedom, human rights, or anti-slavery" as ideology. These are goals. Ideology concerns the method by which a goal is to ba attained. There are people who think that the best way to attain a goal is to think, question, and give consideration to the ideas of others. There are people who think that the best way to attain a goal is for everybody to be like them, and to do, say, and think as they do. The latter group are ideologues, and we should worry about them even if we happen to agree with them on some issues.

I would suggest that would only be true if those values were out of alignment, or not compatible with your own values.

Don't you see how non-Christians might be offended by the tendency to snatch up the values that we hold and brand them "Christian".

Why not "family values"? Why not leave the religion out of it, in acknowledgement of the fact that there are lots of non-Christian families out there sharing the same values?
