thanks for the ANET info. i've been tracking this puppy for over two years thinking i might have missed out on a couple of round trips. but, with the recent news i've kept my powder dry and it seems i will likely use any extra $$'s elsewhere.

thanks for the nomination. about 10 years ago, the comedy itch got to me enough to go to class and "learn" how to do a stand up routine. our "final" was at the comedy club in newport beach. i've watched the tape a half dozen times over the years and still can't understand why the audience didn't think my material (all original) wasn't as funny as i did.

i did learn some things about myself. while i have never had a problem standing and talking in front of groups of people, sometimes pretty large groups, in this instance where people had paid money to be entertained and the pressure was on me to perform, i discovered about a minute into my act that i was nervous. i was upset when i found out i was nervous and i got more upset and it impacted my delivery.

actually, i believe i "write" funnier than i speak. since i've also attempted to write the great american novel, i remember at one point writing a funny scene and getting a real charge out of it. gotta get back and finish that puppy one of these days. let's see, it's only been about 15 years!!!
