Chris,

Well, I guess that proves your point about this being a Christian nation......

Ignore official documents signed by the President and just tell me about some grade school primer. I am still waiting for you to explain your prior logic regarding the differences between Jews accepting Jesus, and you accepting Allah.

Mark

To anyone: What is the practical significance of America being a Christian nation? Are only Christians real Americans? Are non-Christians second-class citizens? Are Americans going to heaven en masse as a nation? Do Christians have rights others don't? Do non-Christians even have any rights, or rather IYO should they? Should non-Christians even be here? Will Christians eventually be able get to get rid of non-Christians? I believe the correct answer to all these questions is a resounding NO. But what are the opinions of those who consider the issue important?

Now my opinion: Is America a Christian nation? Yes, simply because Christianity in its many forms is the largest faith. All the nations of Europe are Christian too, as is the Phillippines and the entire western hemisphere. Some countries in black Africa may be Christian nations. All these nations can be called Christians in an organic sense as Thailand is a Buddhist country and Indian is Hindu.

What is the significance of America being a Christian nation? It's not significant at all except to the extent Christianity influences its adherents to be better (or perhaps worse) citizens than they would be without their faith.
