John, The entire state of Vermont has just been designated a National Historic Preservation Landscape. The country side and its native inhabitants are a rare and colorful bunch. It's been over run by New Yorkers and other "flat landers," but they've created some form of peaceful coexistence. Politically it's very unusual and culturally it retains more then any other New England State the core sense of independence created during the early history of this country. Great Place to visit and live, but a very cold climate. Chip
