Hal,

In watching and trading larger forks you can hold a long position from it's inception over the period of time the larger fork completes it's cycle. That can be days or weeks. You can also trade the smaller forks within the larger pattern.

I was not here monday...the larger fork I'm watching repelled the market at it's median line about 1340± SPX...I might have sold there and probably should have had an order in to do so! As it stands at this point, I will sell if it retraces 50% of its gain.

Sometimes it can get confusing?
