Ike, i applaud your ordering AU, but did you take a real close look at that UTX chart? it looks to me like it made a bear flag and is now in the process of breaking out of it...better place a stop on that one, just in case. i have to add to that that i have at times shorted bear flags which then resolved contrary to my expectation... if we don't get our BK now, when would you like to get it? now is an excellent time for it imo. consider that the bond futures contract has broken to new lows and has now successfully challenged a long term trend line. judging from the amount of bullish positioning and talk re. bonds i expect to see some follow-through there. that's exactly what is needed for a BK. also lets not forget that many people will think of cashing in due to the vast gains we've had this year and the looming Y2K uncertainty...John Bollinger pointed out the extreme increase we've had in options o.i., a sure sign of speculation getting out of hand. i'm not going to mention all the other technical stuff that's well known, but if not now the BK, when???
