"You don't read the bible do you ??"

...actually I do, but I rarely try to beat others over the head with its pages.

"The Law said that we must not murder and he that murders MUST be put to death ! How can you try and say that the penalty is as big a sin as the crime !!"

...well actually, all of the big 10 were cause for death... Let me ask you? is sleeping around cause for loss of life? what is more severe? Death is Death. You can moralize it all you want to feel better about your beliefs. I would also note on the sleeping around bit, mostly it was the women who got the punishment, not the men. Hey, it only stands to follow... "(let him) that is without sin should throw the first stone." Not one of the big 10, but ANY sin. This kills your arguement that death on someone is not murder if it is "done for the right reason". Just Choose life dude.

What is Idolatry?
-Worshiping false Gods or idols as Gods.
But let me ask you: How does God reveal Himself? And are not those revelations of (presumably for this arguement there is only one God) that God easily interpreted differently by different cultures? Of course.

So if I say to you:
God is present right now and we are having tea. He told me all about you. Don't be afraid, he says it's ok.
-What would you do - say I'm nuts? probably. So why condemn a Chinaman when he doesn't believe you actually found God? Why not invite him for tea next time instead? (and be sure not to kill him with the bisquit if he actually has the gall to ask God a few questions).

The Law said that we must not murder and he that murders MUST be put to death

You are right! that is what the Law says: but Jesus called (and calls) us to a HIGHER calling!!

Matt. 5:
21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

so now,what.......THANK GOD that we are under Grace and not Law!!!!
