mb: msft actually lost a ton ($785m) in f99 hedging the fluffy stuff in their equity portfolio. They're no dummies. <g>

this didn't flow through the income statement, however.

To All, Funny stuff on the Intel thread. As we all know, Intel missed analyst estimates by about 4%. No big deal if the stock weren't so overpriced. Anyway, one guy said that they missed last quarter, and that the stock is up 17% because they gave a positive outlook for this quarter. Now, they missed again but gave another positive outlook, so Intel is the envy of the financial community and about to go up again. I love it.

But, you never know. The suckers may never catch on that Intel is yanking their chains, posting no growth while selling at a huge growth multiple. <g>
