To change to a different account you must use the account services tab. Just select a different account to see balances for then go back to the IPO page.

Yup,
E-trade caught on to people opening numerous accounts under same name, social security number so now you can only apply for IPO's in one account if they are linked. It's actually a good thing because this was greatly abused this last summer but I'm sure many of us here took advantage of it why the good time were a rollin during FCFS.

Able to IOI in my wife's linked account using method PicardPlus suggests in post 11026 <To change to a different account you must use the account services tab. Just select a different account to see balances for then go back to the IPO page.>

MoJo, I've had the same problem before, but this sequence works for me everytime. I see no logic in why it would work over the sequence you described, but here's what I do:

After completing the first IOI, click on the Account Services tab at top right...

Use the drop-down list to select the other account...

Use the BACK key on browser (usually 8 times) to get back to the current offerings page...

Choose the Go Now selection again...

Maybe it'll work for you. Does for me.
