Hmm- Perhaps I was a tad tetchy, you think?
COmes of reading this thread for a week and trying to get past the nasty crap. I did think we were talking in an impersonal manner about living faith vs. meaningless ritual. And suddenly we seemed not to be talking about that at all.

We once spent a long time here debating the performing of religious music in public schools. Being a musician, I strongly feel that the greatest music arose from the church-- in the same way Michael's charities may have--- they had the organization, the money, the patronage, the inspiration. But to me religious music is very much a part of the entire musical experience and history. And that's what I was getting at with prayer and football. Integral or not? I think not. But it's debatable I guess
