One of the characteristics about my husband that I most admire is his unfailing courtesy to everyone. The cafeteria worker, his boss, the garbageman, his secretary, me, the beggar on the street, his children-- he is never disrespectful of their value as individuals, their right to dignity. I find it a rare and impressive quality.
