bobby, The discussion of the PVI says it doesn't work at expiration:

"I consider the PVI to be unreliable when BUY Signals are generated on options expiration day. Much of the high put volume generated is the result of expiring puts being rolled into new positions, and not just volume generated by negative sentiment."

Economists have been explaining all week why the PPI is going to be ugly tomorrow morning. We also have CPI out next week. Is the gold market trying to tell us inflation is coming back?

I wouldn't be surprised to see a temporary relief rally but I'm expecting a lot more downside this fall.
