Wow. You are anticipating some major disruptions; I'll look at my indicators and do a little adjusting based, on your bias. You know, I really respect your opinion. Some people ( Christian brothers and sisters at our church were calling for some major world disruptions this sep and oct. Already we have had the Taiwan earthquake, overthrow of Packistan, and gold short squeeze, and we have two weeks to go in oct. Just based on that I'm not budging one iota at least until the end of the month and I will have to have some compelling information to even start thinking about it after then.....In Christ.gregor

Barry:

Incredibly a local bank ( 70 miles away) The National Bank of Keystone. FAILED. 133 million in uninsured deposits has been lost. There are horror stories being told. A girl had an inheritance of 1/2 million on deposit and lost all but a 100,000. A retired restaurant owner lost 1 million on the stock.

So many people think , my bank will never fail and deposit over 100,000 into one account, but the FDIC only covers up to a 100,000.

They had been advertising nationally for a rate of 1% higher on CD's . Buyers beware. My advice would be to never put over 100,000 into a CD at one bank. Choose 50 banks if you must; or go with treasuries....just if anyone is listening.we don't have that problem.."yet"...

Barry: Hey . How are you doing. In going back I came across your post anticipating major disruptions. Thanks in part to your judgement I have come away virtually unscathed. Thanks old friend. I'd say the NAZ falling from 5100 to 3300 was a major disruption.

Don't think that the price of oil falling BACK DOWN to the 20 25 dollar level will stave off inflation. These economists ?? Tell me my friend. Isn't too much money chasing too few goods always been the problem.

Well, all this gold that our Lord owns ? How do you see it adjusting to market conditions in the few months ahead....gregor

TIPPET:

You're the gold expert, can you give me some help....I'm unwinding my short term positions when the ^XAU hits 65.5 ,getting back in on a retrackment to 60, and thinking it will then go to 70...how far off am I.

I'm tickled pink about the move so far.got to give the Lord the credit on this one.........gregor

hope you are short the bonds right now....if your view on the 7.5% fed funds rate is accurate we've got to go lower, for precaution I wouldn't go out 30 years but stay with the 5 to 10 year issues......
