You probably didn't see the article by Patrick Bloomberg in to-day's Financial Post, and regretably I can't find it to post, but it was quite interesting all the same.

From a conversation with a US analyst, he reports that there was in recent days another major shake up requiring Fed intervention when somebody (anon) failed to meet a contracted delivery of 10 MILLION ounces of gold. Once again the potential repercussions were considered to be such that the Fed stepped in and made the delivery. I sure hope that US taxpayers are appreciating the bang for their Tax Buck that their government is giving them. The words " Your Tax Dollars at work" have taken on new meaning

National Post section D for to-day Thursday , if anyone wants to follow up. It's on the front and second page of that section.

Pretty soon the politicians will be able to advertise" Vote for me, I guarantee unlimited sex, Risk free shorting of Gold etc etc.........ad nauseam." It seems as if the Hedge Hoppers are already promoting "no recourse derivatives" as the answer to a maiden's prayer (if there are any maidens left, that is.

Does anybody remember what a Free Market used to be??????
