So it sounds like Rambus is claiming innocence and it's up to Intel to get their act together. So then nothing has changed, and It doesn't really change anything from what Intel said a few days ago.

>Plenty of RDRAM for the launch when Intel is ready.

I guess that comment means the chip makers aren't coming back real soon.

So I guess it is now all up to Edlestone and the others to comment and again up the ante?? Otherwise the stock remains in a trading range.

regards

don

Hi Stuart Steele; Thanks for the CC brief.

Re Support revenue stream changed from 5 years to 4. I suppose that this means that the company is taking income from prepaid support contracts over a shorter time period. This would explain why they had the bump in revenue? Is there a reason why support is expected to last only 4 years into the future instead of 5? (Maybe there is new technology coming out in four years.)

Re Plenty of RDRAM for the launch when Intel is ready. This is a funny comment, actually, given the collapse in RDRAM prices.

Re The CEO said double data dram is definitely not competition for RDRAN. Funny that the CEO would deny what the lawyers put into the 10-Q. I guess what is meant here is that RDRAM will win the race.

My guess for the reason why they didn't make the CC public, is that this allows them to say more than they otherwise could. If it was a public conference, I would think they would have to be a lot more cautionary, or risk shareholder lawsuits.

Stuart, there is a lot being made of the 10/25 on other boards - like its going to be Christmas, other posts suggesting delay of Camino until Comdex, and still others 1Q 2000.

Do you have any other information or comments you can offer about those points?

Thanks very much,
Jeff Smith
