You don't have to sell over the phone; where did this rumour start? I've flipped three issues in the past two weeks. The confirmation may be slow, though due to trading volume. If you need to, call the PowerEtrade hotline, the service is fast. If you got a notice of allocation, the shares should already show up in your account...
DJ for me on this one. I would be surprised if you don't double your money o this issue. QUIK makes FPGAs, similar to XLNX and ALTR...

I flipped SMDK within 30 minutes of trading by web site,
no phone needed but account showed I shorted SMDK & just
cleared up last nite. I don't know why e*trade does this
because we all know you can't short an IPO.

Mybe it is done so you don't get another IPO until your
short position in the last IPO is cleared up?
