I'm not that much of a risk-taker...I know there's beacuoup money to be made sometimes in short term calls like this, but you can lose, too!

I did. It was a nightmare ride <g>. I bought them in late August at 11 1/2 just at the wrong time. They were worth 1 1/2 by mid September. I sold them at 10 last week <whew> just in time to watch them run up. But I'm feeling pretty lucky today.

Conclusion: my timing sucks.
Action: I won't buy calls again, just LEAPS.

I'm not proud, John. DCA'd this morning by doubling my stake in them at 1 3/8 - if we can hit ~205 intraday I think I'll break even overall (the first batch being bought earlier at a _much_ higher price, live and learn)...

(Looked possible a bit ago when we topped 203, but don't know now...)

PS: Jill and Uncle are right. Don't mess with short-term options. I repeat very strongly: playing with options is fine, but stick with DIM calls, LEAPS, or both. The others are seductive Sirens, singing pretty songs of great profits just beyond the next bend - but they are not worth the risk, pain, stress, and most importantly, the distraction. If I hadn't been messing with the AAOJTs this morning, I could have picked up some more long-term goodies at a great price. The lost opportunity in these is probably a greater loss than if I had just dumped these contracts and moved on.
