Yes, I know the feeling.

These multi-contract trades aren't something one would do in real life, I have a hard time accustoming myself to it as well.

No problem, though. over time adding on margin will kill you. We have 6 months. if everyone wants to trade larger because of prior gains you and I have an edge of sorts.

Of course, I'm doing it larger from time to time as well. In real life though I'm still staying conservative. These young guys forget the old adage.....

The Young have skill and daring,
The Old have experience and know where to cheat.

Tom,

I very quickly made the same observation about large lot trading among the contestants and began to realize that the prevailing tone in this contest was one of "Gentlemen, start your engines." While real life trading is like driving your car on the city street, this contest is apparently being perceived as a raceway, with hairpin turns, curves, and straight aways.... although this may not have been the intended purpose of this contest, it may not be all that bad... my guess is that everyone will still continue trading the same as they would in real life but with some experimental modifications during the contest since the risk here is minimized... so, this contest may actually be a great way to test ourselves and the extreme limits of our trading skills in both day and position trading and to learn from real time trading mistakes... the contest itself introduces a variable which is not present during real life trading, that is the competition between other traders as well as the competition between the individual trader and the market itself... of course, this additional dimention adds fun and excitement to our trading... if each of us learns a lesson or two about ourselves as a result of our trading in this contest, then everyone will be a winner in real life..... I want to thank you and David for producing this contest and for spending your valuable time doing all that bookkeeping.....

Any one else have any thoughts on this?
